The F BOMB blitz hit Birmingham
I just cant help myself. I say fuck a lot, and it seems to be crossing over in to my music more and more as of late. A true rebel at heart. Last night we had the pleasure of visiting Robannas in Snow Hill. What a joy that was! A change of scenery can be a good thing. Our gig the other night was great fun, even if we did have a little bit of technical nightmare with equipment, it seemed to run ok. Big shout out to Silent Filter Promotions, true legends in the art of promotion.
I do not know why, but Ellie Gouldings cover of Your Song, makes me feel fucking sick. I want to punch the poor girls face everytime I hear it. Luckily for us both that isn't very often.
I need to add some pics, so will do so, shortly.
P.s we want to play Christmas gig, but we are far to unorganised. Can somebody set bone up for us please.

wires and broken leads make ZimZim beg and plead
Good gig, and great bands including the UK version of Sons of the Desert, strutting their stuff here. Check them out!

the only fan we have is one with three speeds and I'm suffering from vertigo
Currently sat in a alcohol filled oasis found deep bin the heart of the industrial wasteland of Birmingham waiting for the.ZimZimmers to arrive. ZimZim's first gig after rye hits and lows of recording and I'm looking forward to it although I feel a.little out of place amongst the skinheads and adult sized stools. Not the poo coloured stools. It looks like I need a few goes at this blogging to be interesting. Maybe happy hour will help!.......

waiting for a Zim
YWaiting for a Zim who I almost burned down in a fire, so I may as well tell the tale...
I had bought a delightful Christmas scented candle, which although smelt of cinnamon, had very little other smells inside, a bit disappointing, like Christmas. Well.done those glade scientists for bottling so successfully it into a candle.
The wick had burnt out but there was still a wax load of wax left and being the money hungry / shrewd and careful bastard / short guy I am, I was determined to extract all the scent that I had purchased out. I threw in some matches and some nurofen instructions and set the zimmer alight!
Time came to put it out and despite the countless.hours.of fire safety training I have been forced to sit through I decided to chuck a glass of water on it.... BOOM the whole table was on fire. Zim ran into find Zim for help! He threw in the towel, but it was dry and then on fire! Zim ran to the toilet roll holding area and soaked the towel. It was cast onto the sweet fire and the flames were extinguished!
Unfortunately Zim had grabbed Zim's towel in haste and had to buy a New towel, the true cost on ignoring home fire safety is a navy blue bath towel from Tesco. A lesson I will never forget.
The title.of this blog is a lie, Zim turned up and we drank overpriced coffee before I could finish this

Five Ways Demos
Recording has begun, Me and Greg set up a little studio in our front room yesterday, and started laying down the first bits of audio for the B sides we plan to accompany the Low single. We go into the actual propa flash super studio at the end of the week.
Adam and eve gig is a week tomorrow. 16th November. We are all super excited, we have been working hard on new material, and want to play gigs and record as much as week can over the next few months.
This site needs updating... I will do it soon I am sure,
Greg will hopefully add some pics of our recording soon.

Just a quickie
Tuesday, 19 October 2010
Hi People,
Practice has been cancelled tonight. (a sense of disappoint has swept across the flat) So to combat the sadness me & Greg will be hitting the streets of Birmingham to play a cheeky bit of Open Mic! We will be at Poppyred so if your out and about, you may see us.
Pics of our adventures to follow... we can't help ourselves.

Can you Adam & Eve it?
Me and greg had a great time the other night at Sound Bar, (cool place) we performed a little acoustic set, jus the two of us. It was a good chance to bring our 10 to midnight sessions (see youtube) to a live audience. We also bashed out a rendition of a new song I have been working on, amazingly I remembered every word. Next stop the Adam & Eve in Digbeth! this is on the 17th November and is another gig with the lovely people of Silent Filter Promotions - I must apologise to such people for running over our set time the other night by 4 minutes, we are bad kids.
We are hoping to record an EP at the start of November, should be about 3 or 4 tracks. This will be our first time back in a studio together for about 4 years... I am sure it will be interesting, but not half as fun as it used to be with sound guy Lee! (he can talk to cats you know) a true legend in the art of sound engineering.
Now listening to - Grace and the bigger picture by JoFo! (legends)
Right... back to work.

P.S Tom & Greg need to start blogging!

Now that it's over...
When you get to a certain age you start to realise that all those people you have come to know and love aren't around anymore. The clubs are filling up with the new young people, and you don't know anybody in their anymore. Then, if you are lucky, you will leave too.
Push bar to open split up and we all went our seoerate ways. Greg to Southampton, Tom to Leicester and Larm to Worcester. Now in the year of 2010 a new era starts, Zim Zim is born. We are making musicnagain, and it feels better than ever, a three year break has done us the world of good.
So far we have done a hand full of shows, and they all seem to have gone well. I have really loved some of the acoustic sets we have done, its always good to play songs in a different way to which they were written. We are going to do things differently this time around, the rule book has been burned in the corner, it's all about us enjoying our art.
Good times
