What's going on.

GOLLY golly Gosh, loads to tell you about. First things first we are playing at the o2 Academy in Birmingham (home) with our good buddies Silent Filter. We will be playing on the 4th May (not too far away at all) you can get tickets either from us or here http://www.o2academybirmingham.co.uk/event/27734/silent-filter-tickets
We have some shows booked in Brum forlater in the year, after the Summer - we wont b playing any gigs at all in June, July or August we are back in business this September. The gig calendar is already filling up.
The EP has sold really well, we want to bring The Sushi Blues out as a single as soon as possible, so hopefully we will have some news for you all soon. You can still get hold of our EP as a digital download or a physical CD from www.zimzimuk.com
Next up! Easter showcase, we are playing on the Sunday at the Moseley Arms in Digbeth. A full day of music is planned, we love Digbeth!! and it looks like its going to be a great day with some really cool bands playing.
At the moment we are in the studio writing new stuff, we want to get some stuff recorded before June (when I disappear to the USA for a while) so hopefully will have something to release in September in time for the new gigs.
All the best!!

waiting for a train is as good a time as any to write a blog. 30mins of free dead time. Why is it that we always have so much to do, however still manage to have free time? A lot of people are talking about a second new Radiohead album, what I want to know is when is the next Zim Zim EP going to be available? well if I don't know, who will?

So a new record may not be on the horizon but you haven't all brought the first one yet... Why???

We are currently in the process of begging people to review the record, and trying to do PR. Greg wrote a bio for us,, which is good but I think it is fair to say we aren't very good at talking about ourselves. (I know you are now saying..."isn't that all he ever does on Twitter") Trying to pigeon hole yourself and say what genre you are is really hard to do when you are trying so hard to be a square peg and to be a genre of your own.

The cafe I find myself in, is very busy, considering it is past 8 at night. Since when is Birmingham so busy, I thought we were all jobless. is it all a big lie, are we all making more money than we could ever need, has everybody moved to Edgbaston?Am I the only person who is penniless... I even counted out £2-45 exactly so that I didn't A) wait for change or B) pay a tip... Times are hard (not that I Tip anyway... Something I will soon have to get used to when being in the USA)

The week will see your favourite alternative rock indie band play Leicester and return home to Birmingham to play the Flapper... Possibly the best venue ever. We all can not wait to play the flapper, a really nice venue, and some of my fave people are going to be there. Are you? Plus we may be having a few too many drinks after, tat her than before, which was the case at our last Birmingham gig. Antsy must dash

GOING back IN time

Spending the weekend in Wolverhampton was like running backwards through time. It was all good fun, but very strange. There was only me, no other zimmas. Bass ZIM was in Brum drum ZIM (space bar) was in Manchester, did we miss each other??

Just some little changes, Derby - your wait for the ZIm X 2 goes on as the as the March show is being rearranged. We really want to come to Derby, and we are going to make it happen before June. I will be in the USA from June to August, if any USA people want to see ZIM x1 or even give ZIM X 1 a bed for the night please contact me.

People of Wolverhampton may see us at Walkabout playing for your pleasure Thursday, not sure yet, but lets hope so.

Have I mentioned you can now purchase our EP? thank you to everybody who has download the EP so far. Much love.

Anyway, cheers for reading, see you soon
